And this is where we talk about demographics

I actually happen to know several teenage boys who would think this vinyl wall decal was the greatest thing ever, but I also know that they have no idea what Etsy is. Maybe listing this on a craft website geared mostly towards women is a good thing, though, since it means that I'm far less likely to encounter one of them in real life. Never mind, then.

Tis apparently the season for ugliness

Either that or someone scalped Santa and turned him into a purse.

Attack of the tablecloths!

The combination of crooked lace and cheap silk flowers just screams "Sunday dinner at Grandma's house" but maybe that's me.

Just when I thought it was safe to go back to the toy box

We all know how easily I am creeped out by doll crafts, but this one really does take the cake. Take one broken Barbie head (style the hair, that's apparently important), attach it to a felt-covered plastic bracelet, cover it in glitter, and...sell it for over $200.

Yes, really.

Ugly on so many levels, folks.

Hot Dog, Number 200!

Can you believe we're up to 200 Ugly Things in 2009? Neither can I. Judging from the expression on this jewelery box dog's face (no, really, it's a jewelery box) I'm guessing that he's either astonished that we've managed to find 200 incredibly ugly things for sale on the Internet since going live last spring or perhaps just surprised to find a hot dog where his digestive system ought to be. Regardless, thanks so much for all of your e-mails, comments, and for reading the blog. Happy 200!

What would Tim Gunn say?

Actually, I don't think my beloved Tim would say anything, as he would certainly have fallen into a dead faint at the sight of this dress.

Brief hiatus

Real life has once again reared its ugly head, so there won't be any updates for the rest of the week. Happy Halloween to all of you, and don't buy any scary (ugly) crafts while I'm away!
